Return to the Land of the Rising Sun
This weekend, Brett received and accepted an offer for a summer clerkship with the Tokyo office of White & Case, a prestigious international law firm. White & Case is a New York law firm with 35 offices in 23 countries, and when it comes to international law firms in Tokyo, it doesn't get any better. Brett is of course ecstatic about the opportunity to return to work in Tokyo and all that it entails. Personally I think he is just a little more excited about returning to his old stomping ground. I can not even begin to put into words how incredibly proud I am of Brett for all of the hard work he has put in over the last few months. It is really nice to see his hard work paying off, and all of his dreams coming true. He has certainly made my dreams come true.

Congratulations! Does that mean the whole family is heading out there, or is Brett going alone? What an adventure, either way. I just love the stories you've posted about your boys- they sounds like such fun!
congrats! You are so in love.
That is SO exciting! Kudos to him for his hard work. And if you guys all go how cool will that be for your boys to say they lived there for a couple of years?! Good for you guys.
We were actually there for two and a half months as a family last summer while Brett did another internship and the boys absolutely loved it.
congrats! that is totally awesome!!!
also, i gotta tell you a little story--we have your christmas card picture up on the fridge and yesterday abigail asked me to open the fridge door so she could see it at the kitchen table where she was eating lunch. i said "why do you need the fridge open?" and she said "I need to see my little boyfriends!" meaning ian and colin. she talks to them all the time. it's cute!
Necia, that is so awesome. Good for Brett. You deserve as much credit as he does since he couldn't have done it without you.
