My brother-in-law Eli is a very talented trumpet player, he was in Jazz Ensemble and
Philharmonic at
BYU. So for Christmas my sister and Eli gave my niece Aubree a toy trumpet so she could be like her dad. As soon as we got to California Aubree started to give Ian trumpet lessons.

Ian would not stop playing the trumpet. At one point we considered having Eli get out his trumpet so they could duet, but that never happened.

Ian decided that he wanted to play the trumpet his way, upside down. Only that made it much harder for him to be able to play any notes since he couldn't make the keys go up and down, so it was just one loud blast after another.

Maybe next time we will have Eli teach Ian how to play, instead of Aubree!
