Today, while in school, Colin's pre-school class had a practice tornado warning drill. This didn't seem to phase Colin until right after he went to bed. Within a few minutes, our neighbors' car alarm went off. Colin came running out of his room, terrified as could be, screaming about a tornado warning and how we needed to get someplace safe. I tried to explain to him what had actually happened, but he was crying too hard to hear me. It took me a long time to calm him down after that. I hope this response has more to do with the fact that he was up before 5 a.m. than it does with an actual fear of tornado warnings. Otherwise we are in for a long summer.

Oh, poor kid! That's sad! Carlee had a earthquake drill in school this week, but she thought it was great fun.
Tell him we don't have tornado's here in So Cal. Just don't tell him we have earthquakes.;)
