Just a Suggestion
When Colin was five months old, Brett was asked to accompany the Managing Director of the MTC, Richard Heaton, on a trip to Japan to do research for "Preach my Gospel". After all the research was done, Brett suggested that the missionaries' language ability could benefit from learning to read more Kanji (complex characters of Chinese origin used in Japanese). Richard Heaton agreed and asked Brett to write a book to do just that. Brett started working on the book, part time, as soon as he came home. After Brett graduated from BYU, he took a year off before starting law school to work full time on the book to get it completed. He finished with the book (372 pages), and its printing, a few short days before we moved to Minnesota.
Now that Brett is in Japan, he is going to be helping President Hill, the Mission President of the Japan Tokyo Mission with some training for younger missionaries. He is so excited to do this because of his love of missionary work, as well as his love for the missionaries. Brett met with President Hill yesterday to discuss what will happen in those trainings. When they were done, President Hill told Brett that in his opinion, Brett has done more to help the Japanese missionaries' language ability than any other single person in the history of the Church in Japan. When Brett told me this, I started to cry. Who knew a small suggestion would turn into this?

He stole that idea from me... just kidding, but i remember talking about it when we worked together during the olympics. Glad that he was able to get it done! Hope all is well.
Wow that is awesome! Kent had told us how amazing the book is but that is really cool that the President said that!
That's amazing! You guys are amazing! And I thought I saw you at Target in Orem the other day, but I'm glad I didn't say hi, because if you are at MOA, apparently you are not in town. :)
