We woke up early this morning, and Brett decided to take the kids on a bike ride. Usually, Brett puts the kids in our bike trailer. Today, when Brett was getting the trailer ready, the kids said that they would rather ride their own bikes. So we loaded everyone's bikes into the van and drove down to the far side of the nearest big lake. Here is everyone, ready to go. Ian was a bit nervous, and he couldn't get his brake to hold him in place.
After going for a bit, they all decided to stop and play on the shore, since the lake is so low this year. This was, of course, just an excuse for Brett to stop and take pictures.
After the photo session, they continued around the lake. The boys were having so much fun that Brett had to race way ahead and jump off his bike to snap any pictures of the kids.
Everyone made it home safely. (Ian only crashed once!) The kids were exhausted when they arrived back home, but I am sure they will be up for a repeat soon!

What a great day!!!
I just have to put in a disclaimer. The post says that we stopped to take pictures, and then there was a totally crooked picture of the kids. It is unfortunate that the best picture of the kids was the one where I was bending over sideways and could hardly see through the viewfinder.
