Grade A Excuses
While Brett and I were eating lunch, he told me the funniest story. Today, in his Corporate Finance class, his Professor was discussing a paper the students had turned in recently. He was explaining the timeline for returning the papers to the students when he discreetly began describing his two Labrador Retrievers. He went on to say that the papers were graded and had been sitting in a "safe spot" on his coffee table. Then very gingerly, he informed the students that there were several among them who would not be receiving their papers back. This was because several papers had, in fact, been eaten by--you guessed it--his dogs! Brett did get his grade back, and it was an A. However, he (along with some others) didn't receive the paper itself. I guess "grade A" can refer not only to eggs and meat products, but to dog food, as well.
