Alley Cats

When the boys were preparing for my parents to come to town, they made a list of all the things they wanted to do. On the top of that list was bowling. Unfortunately, due to the times of open bowling, we were never able to go while my parents were here. So instead, we decided to go to FatCats while we were in Utah. The boys had so much fun! If you ever take your young kids bowling, I suggest asking the bowling alley if they have ramps the kids can use to roll the balls down.

It made it so much easier. Since we were able to use the 8 pounds balls, the boys could carry the ball over to the ramp

and push it down by themselves.

Plus, they had enough coordination to actually get up enough speed to get results. We almost didn't need the bumpers. They were so excited to watch the pins get knocked down.

The only problem we had was trying to keep one out of the other's way while he bowled. My mom came up with the best idea. She told them they had to dry their hands before their turn.

The first few times they did this, we had a hard time getting them to stop so they could take their turn.

After about half the game, Colin started to pay attention to how he was bowling and what technique would produce the best results.

He really wanted to catch Brett.

If Brett hadn't gotten those two strikes in the tenth frame, he would have!!

Wow, I have never seen those ramps before! That is such a great idea. Thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to use them. It surely makes the whole experience so much better when you don't have to get spares the entire time!

Those ball ramps really are awesome. Bowling is such a fun family activity.
