Christmas Chaos: Evening Edition

Brett and I really wanted to have our friends and their kids experience the excitement that is "cobbwebbing". (For an explanation of cobbwebbing see yesterday's post) Since we were having some friends over for Christmas dinner we decided to buy presents for the kids to cobweb. I bought each of the kids gummi lifesaver books and wrapped them up so they couldn't see what they were. After we were done eating my friends Jamie, Jeni, and I took all the kids upstairs and left the dads to hide the presents and to make the webs for each of the kids. It took the guys about 30 minutes to set it up for 7 kids.

The kids were so excited when it was time to go downstairs and start. When we got downstairs the older kids wanted to do it all by themselves.

The rest of the kids paired up with an adult and went to finding their presents.

After a few minutes a few of the younger kids were happier to play in the yarn then they were to wind it up so it ended up being a few kids and a few adults.

In the end everyone had a lot of fun and the kids were so excited when they found their presents. We were very lucky this year to share one of our favorite family traditions with our friends in a whole new way.
