Drum Set

A few weeks ago, Colin and Ian brought home a flier announcing their elementary school talent show. They were both very excited and asked if they could play their drums in the show. Colin said that he wanted to play Free Fallin' again (which he played earlier at our church talent show), and Ian said that he wanted to play Learning to Fly. So the boys locked themselves in a room and polished their act.

Since Blogger won't let us post the video, we posted it on Facebook.

Needless to say, the act brought the house down! After the talent show was over, people kept coming up and telling Colin and Ian what a wonderful job they did. But it wasn't just that they told them and then left. They kind of told them and then stayed around, like they just wanted to hang out! The principal said what a great job they did, and several teachers and adults said how amazed they were. Today, when I was picking up Colin from school, the crossing guard (who was already a huge fan of Colin's kickball skills) wouldn't stop talking to me about how well the kids did and how much Colin looks just like Brett and how she really enjoyed the show!

Evan has been watching his brothers practice for a few weeks now, and whenever he sees Colin or Ian playing the drums, he gets really excited. Before the music started, Evan pointed at the stage and kept saying, "Aaaah! Aaaah!" Then, once the boys were playing, he was playing the most amazing air drums right along with them. (Even better than Ian was up on stage!)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video on Facebook!
