When Brett got to the Airport on Wednesday he was asked to make another carry on out of his luggage since his bags were a little over weight. He did a little rearranging, and all of the candy he had bought for his trip ended up in the new carry on. Once he was on his flight he ended up sitting next to a Catholic Priest, who had been living in the Philippines for 50 years. The Priest ran an orphanage, and the whole flight he was saving his pretzels, peanuts, and anything else he could get his hands on for the children. My sweet husband opened his carry on and gave the man all the candy he had, which was like 30 candy bars. So, in the end, it was good the airline made Brett rearrange his luggage. I guess you could also say Brett was inspired to upgrade his seat to an exit row seat the day before; otherwise he never would have met the Priest.
